Cargo Tracking at Georgian Customs

Where is your cargo right now? Enter the truck plate and see straight away whether the cargo has crossed the customs border of the Republic of Georgia and whether it has entered a Georgian customs terminal. This is the country in the Caucasus, not the U.S. state.

The search is free and needs no registration. If you want an email when the cargo crosses the border, leave your address. This is free for one vehicle; if you have several vehicles to watch, registration is needed.

What the answers mean: the border and the Georgian customs terminal

Has not crossed the border yetNothing shows for this number yet — the cargo is still on the way, the number is typed in another format, or the cargo has already left the terminal.
Crossed the borderThe cargo is in Georgia and does not yet show at a customs terminal.
Entered the terminalThe cargo is at a customs terminal — the terminal name and the entry time are shown when they are available.
The check could not be completedThe data did not come through at this moment — this is not about your number. Try again shortly.

In plain words: "Crossed the border" means the truck has already come across and is in Georgia; "Entered the terminal" means the cargo has driven in and is standing there.

Once a cargo leaves the terminal the search no longer finds it, and the answer goes back to "Has not crossed the border yet".

Georgian customs terminals: Lilo, Gezi, Lasare, Poti, Batumi, Tbilisi, Rustavi, Kutaisi

When the cargo enters a terminal, the answer shows the terminal's name and the entry time when they are available. These are the names a visitor can meet in the answer: Lilo, Gezi, Lasare, Poti, Batumi, Tbilisi, Rustavi, Kutaisi, Zahesi and the airport.

"Gezi" and "terminal" are not the same thing. A "gezi" is a clearance economic zone — the zone where the declaration is processed. Brokers and drivers often say a truck "went into the gezi". A "terminal" is usually a private yard where the cargo stands and is unloaded. One city can have both — a gezi and a terminal. The answer shows the exact name of the place the cargo entered.

Which terminal the cargo will enter is not known in advance — the name appears only once the cargo is already inside. The search does not show the cargo's position on a map, the queue at the border, or the colour of the customs corridor.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check a truck at Georgian customs by plate number?
Open the cargo search page, type the vehicle number in Latin letters with no spaces, and press the check button. For a truck with a trailer, separate the two plates with a slash — the search uses the towing vehicle.

Is the cargo search paid?
The search is free and needs no registration. Email notification is free for your first number — one number per email address. Tracking a further number will be a paid option — we are preparing it; write to us and we will tell you first as soon as it is ready.

How do I know if my truck has cleared Georgian customs?
This search does not show that. It shows two things: whether the cargo has crossed the customs border of the Republic of Georgia and whether it has entered a Georgian customs terminal — not whether the clearance is finished. There is a free way to check those two: type the plate in Latin letters with no spaces, with no sign-up. The tool does not show a point on a map.

Which Georgia is this — the country or the U.S. state?
The country: the Republic of Georgia, in the Caucasus, capital Tbilisi. The border and the customs terminals in the answers are Georgian ones. Declaro is a customs broker based in Tbilisi.

The cargo is already at a customs terminal — how do I see that?
In the same search. When the cargo enters a terminal, the answer shows the terminal's name and the entry time when they are available. A cargo that has already left the terminal is no longer visible in the search.

Does the search work with a container number?
Not at this stage — the search works with a vehicle number (road cargo) or a wagon number (rail cargo). If you type a container number, the tool asks you for the plate of the towing vehicle or the wagon number instead. The number is not wrong, it simply does not fit this search.

Can I track cargo that comes by rail?
Yes. Above the number field choose “By rail” and enter the wagon number — it is made of digits only. Rail cargo is found by the wagon number, not by the container number.
